Who are West Des Moines’ Iowa House District 31 primary candidates?

Two candidates are running for the Democratic Party’s nomination for House District 31, an open seat.

The seat includes West Des Moines.

This is one of 10 competitive primary races across the Des Moines metro area. The two candidates are: Michael Andreski, a pharmacy professor, and Mary Madison, a minister.

The winner will take on Republican Justin Pearson, of West Des Moines. He is a realtor and owner of a home maintenance business.
